  • Overview

Pandavas walked on the very same route to ascend to heaven through Swargarohini, a mountain that dominates the Har ki Dun Valley. Located on the base of Fateh Parvat, Har- ki- Dun is fondly known as valley of gods. It is termed as one of the most beautiful trek in Uttarkhand. The trek gives you a chance to walk through meadows, streams, visit glaciers and the best of all – view the panoramic mountain peaks forming the most beautiful background for all your pictures. Har ki dun is a good trek for beginners. It gives you an interesting Himalayan experience. The trail takes you through ancient villages where you can watch and understand their unique culture and lifestyle

 

 

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Dehradun—Sankri (210km, 7 hrs.)

We board cabs from Dehradun early in the morning and move towards Sankri a beautiful hill village the roadhead for this trek, the journey takes around 10 hrs. and goes via the towns of Purola, Mori, Natwar, Overnight stay in Home Stay

 

Day 02: Sankri –Taluka- Osla (Drive 12kms, Trek 14 kms)

The drive to Taluka is on a level road although with many bends, the road is tricky and often impossible to cross in monsoon, from the village of Taluka the trail descends to Supin River and then towards the beautiful village of Osla situated at an altitude of 8800 feet, our campsite for the day.

 

Day 03: Osla to Har-ki-Dun (Trek 13 kms)

The trail from osla is a leisure walk however involves few steep sections. On the trail today we also see the confluence of Ruinsara and Supin rivers from which the trail goes up towards Kalkatiyadhar. You can also view the Har-Ki Dun and Peak and Hata Peak today. The mesmerizing campsite of Har-Ki-Dun is located near the forest huts.

 

Day 04: Har-ki- Dun exploration

Rest in the lap of nature or explore the nearby surroundings in the valley of gods, you can visit a small nearby lake of Malinda Tal(5km to and fro) or Jaundhar Glacier(10km to and fro).

 

 
  
 

 

 

DAY 05: Har-Ki-Dun to Puani Garaat (Trek 11kms)

We trace our route back to the first campsite of Puani Garaat bypassing the camp at Kalkatiyadhar to reach their by late afternoon, the evening is free to explore around

 

Day 06: Puani Garaat to Sankri via Taluka (Trek 13kms, Drive 12kms)

Trek 13 km to Taluka, followed by a 12 km drive from Taluka to Sankri. The way back to Sankri is an easy one with consistent descents and level walks all the way to Taluka.

 

Day 07: Sankri to Dehradun (Drive 210 KMs)

We board cabs from Sankri early in the morning and move towards Dehradun. The trip ends in Dehradun.
