ABOUT KANATAL

Kanatal is a small village in Uttarakhand, 78 km from Dehradun, 38 km from  Mussoorie  and nearly 300 km from Delhi. It is also close to the Tehri lake which has water sports in non-monsoon months.

 

WHAT TO SEE
Surkanda Devi is a temple in Kaddukhal, dedicated to Sati. Surkanda is where the head of Sati fell after Shiva carried her on his trishool from Kankhal, Haridwar after she set herself on fire. Located at a height of 9995 feet, you get a beautiful 360-degree view from the top of the temple. A must do is trekking in the pine forests of Kodia jungle, and indulging in the adventure activities offered by multiple camps.

Day 0 (Thursday Evening)
Tempo Traveller from Delhi/Gurgaon at 11:00 pm for Kanatal.


Day 1 (Friday) 
Reach Kanatal in the morning. Have breakfast on the way at Narendra Nagar.
Relax, refresh and have Lunch at the lodge/ camp.
After lunch, we take you on a short trek to a nearby forest area of Kodia jungle. We return before dark.
Spend the evening hours by a bonfire, maybe sing an old song or two! Have dinner and retire early to bed to be fresh for the adventures of the next day.


Day 2 (Saturday)
Today is the day for outdoors. Finish Breakfast by 9:00 am and indulge in some adventure activities - ziplining and Burma bridge. Guests can partake additional activities available by paying directly to camp owners.
We stop at lunch at a local restaurant. Post lunch we start the trek to Surkanda Devi peak. The trek is about 5 km with steep climb at places to reach the hill-top. Be there in time to watch the beautiful sunset from the top.
Dinner will be served at the camp.

Day 3 (Sunday)
We start the journey towards Tehri Lake to try hands on water sports(Banana Ride/JetSkiing/Knee Boarding(Surfing)/Motor Boat/Speed Boat),Stop by the Ganges in Rishikesh before we head towards Delhi.(expect to reach Delhi around 10:00 pm.)

  • Accommodation for 2 nights at scenic lodge/ camp on triple sharing basis. For twin sharing basis, price is Rs. 6490 per person.

  • Total of 5 meals – 2 meals on Day1 (L/D) + 2 meals on Day2 (B/D) + 1 meal on Day3 (B). Tea and evening snacks will be served at the camp

  • Local transport

  • Guided trek

  • Meals during the journey before reaching camp and after leaving the camp

  • This is a self help trip. Extra carriage requirements like porter, etc. will be chargeable

  • Any other costing involved due to any kind of natural calamity or forced circumstances beyond our control. This would also include expenses on any medical exigencies

  • Adventure activities beyond those included in the package

  • Any other items not specifically mentioned in Inclusions
